Well if you are going to take off the old one, you are going to basically remove the exhaust cam, you have to take off the exhaust cam holders, then when you put it back together, you have to torque then down in a sequence.
9 5 1 3 7
8 4 2 6 10
1 being the middle top bolt, and 2 being the middle bottom bolt. First tighten down the bolts in this sequence to 8 ft lbs. Then after the bolts are tightend to that, in the same sequence, tighten the bolts to 16ft lbs. The outer bolts call for 7 ft lbs, just get them tight, not too tight though! This is all off the top of my head!

edit: The bolt sequence refrred too here is for the 12mm bolts, the 10mm bolt are the ones you just get tight! Good luck with work bro!

It's not brain surgery! I did a whole headgasket swap last night in 3 1/2 hours on a 1g b16a? Start to finish! This is a cam seal, c'mon! I just gave you the hardest part of the deal! Whatever you do, don't just wrench down the bolts, hate to see you lose you head! haha... get it!

It was the first time the head was ever removed, And it was low mileage, so no! I didn't, and guess what, It has about 400+ miles on it now, and no leaky leaky.. I thought that 3 1/2 hours was like way fast! I did two front axels on a 94si hb the day before yesterday in 45 mins!

well the golden eagle cam seal would not fit is was too big and no way in hell was that **** going in, also it chiped on the sides so there went $20 down the ******* drain i will never buy a golden eagle product again, went to acura dealer ship 50 miles away from house they had 2 different types of cam seals, they had the stock one and another easier one which the parts guy said works a lot better and was cheaper and better designed then what came stock. Got home took two seconds to put on and i didn't need to use any tools to put it on, and now no leaks. **** i am so tired but glad i got the job done, and didn't have to take my car to a mechanic to fix it.

I;m sure that he ended up getting the one that pops in, and doesn't have the inside ring, it just has teeth that grab the inside! Those are easier to install, but i like the ones with the inside ring, they last longer!

Yo I had a hard time too, its a cam seal it looks so simple, i ended up with a hole in mine and was shredding the whole thing up tryna get it out, heres what i did, 1.Take off valve cover
2. remove cam holder right near the seal
3. the whole **** should now be able to be lifted out
4. throw that piece of **** away
5. talk **** about homies mom
6. put new one in, start bustin VTEC
thats what i did, now it dont leak and half my motor isnt covered in oil any more
