NO... you want to put a k20a2 in it!
K20a2 beats out any B.

I believe he was talking about putting it in the 600s, but I guess either ones going to be pretty difficult.

Well...the new JDM Integra Type R engine(no, I don't know the engine code yet) puts out WHP in the 190's STOCK.

Thank 2.0 liters of displacement for that.

B's don't do that, sorry.

Thats not a very acurate way to judge which motor is stronger....The new ITR is probobally heavier than the 2000-2200 pound hatches that MOST people are putting B series motors into....1/4 mile times on a stock ITR to a swapped EG or EK is like comparing apples to oranges....

all I want is some proof that a new k series motor can put up some better 1/4 mile times than that of a b series motor.

Better yet throw that New K series motor in a new 02 hatch and lets see what it runs the 1/4 mile in.
I think we already know what times are expected with the "old" itr swap in a hatch.

And I know that you say its comparing apples to oranges but I am simply talking about the guys original post that says that the k20a2 will beat out any b series motor. I just want to know how it will "beat" it.
Certainly not with 1/4 mile times.

Semi-OT:

K20a2 (that's the 220 hp one right ) in a 99 EK hatch has 190 whp STOCK.

I got a CTR and i think the K20 series is really good, some say though that they made it cause its cheaper but that is bull, its so fast so freaking unbeleivable no old trhingy will put this down, anyways integra type r code is DC5 and CTR EP3. i f you want to know.

you are form orange county Eddie hatchbalck, near Laguna Hills, or so, i used to live there until June, proof, the spectrum kicks butt, OC has way more to do than Germany. That cool what school, LHHS or mission viejo, irvine?

Oh usually about cars not sold in USA, 1/4 is uninteresting, no one bothers.

Yeah I live in Orange County. I live in Irvine, and I'm a S.O.C.K. (Southern Orange County Kid) because the north Orange county is a lot different.

actually, the new issue of SCC, hasport did that. the k20a2 dynoed at 168 hp and around 135 ft lbs. ran low 15s, would prolly run high 14s w/ a decent driver. a b18c5 in an EG or EK hatch would own the k20a2.
