Re: quick question..... (EJ ITO)
You want it to not buzz at you, so that you can leave your lights on and let it drain the battery?
Good Idea!

He drives in the dark (lights on) and when he arrives at his destination its already light out and its hard to tell when your lights are still on. So he wants an indicator to remind him to turn off his lights so he doesnt leave them on accidently and drain the battery. A lot of new cars have this... there might be a way to do it

run a little siren or buzzer from radio shack inline with a relay attached to the lights wire, and have the relay switch closed (ground) when the door is opened (button @ door)
when the gound is completed, the buzzer will go off, since the lights are supplying power to it already
turn off the lights, power is cut, and the buzzer will shut off
(i need to do this on my pos beater before i hand it off soon - thanks for the idea )
