quick OBD2b harness question (pics included)
I'm trying to remove any unnecessary wires from my OBD2b harness before I re-tape it.
These plugs have plastic caps on them, so I know they're not plugged into anything. am I able to take to cut them out of the harness? I don't want anything malfunctioning when I go to start the car up.
OBD1 motor into 99 dx coupe
also...
i know one of these mystery plugs is for the IAT sensor. the other plug is similar but i don't know where it would go on. i got the car as a shell so i don't know where it would plug into on stock motor...i never had a plug that looks like that on my old OBD1 shell EH2
thanks for any help in advance! if you don't know the answer, please bump so someone else can answer the question. JUST BUMP IT! thanks!

they are unused.. they are the plugs if it were a 2peice harnass instead it is a 1 peice that goes through the fire wall to the ecu..
one of the other plugs is the intake air temp sensor plug.. the other i'm not sure but i know that both are unused.. i was wondering the same thing when i did a swap in my obd2 del sol

for the injectors you dont have to rewire you can use obd2 injectors if you have em or pop the blue clip off to fit obd1

Re: quick OBD2b harness question (2wheelhunter)
those two big plugs are in the middle of the engine harness....not at the ends. can i take out all the wires that go to these plugs? why are they there if nothing goes to them? I just want to know that if i cut them out that nothing on my car will stop working...lol
i figured i didn't need the IAT sensors since the car is OBD1 neptuned. i just wanted to make sure.

Re: quick OBD2b harness question (2wheelhunter)
well previous owner started a wire tuck, so i finished it.
now im trying to tuck the engine harness while the motor is outta the car. it's a lot easier to plug everything in and try to see if i have to extend anything or shorten some wires so i can tuck the wire harness around the motor as best possible. just goin for a lil cleaner look than stock that's all. no major hard line tuckin or battery relocation haha.
it would be a hell of a lot less wires to mess with if i could take all those out.
can someone explain to me what those big plugs do and if i can take them out.
