Default Quick OBD1 CEL question..

i know there a trick you can with a plug near the ecu and the cel will flash a code and whatnot but my question is, would it be bad to leave it jumped all the time? if theres no cel i doubt it would even be on and if it was, id always know what codes its running without even touching it.

No, don't leave the service connector jumped. It will prevent the ECU from changing the ignition timing based on sensor inputs.
