Default Quick n00b intake question...

Alright guys, got a quick one for ya. I recently bought a used AEM short ram for my 93 SI. I got it off a friend for 20 bucks, so I cant complain...but...I was always kind of against them because of the (I think) 2.5 inch diameter, opposed to the like 3+ inch of the cheap *** (APC-etc.) brands. So, is the smaller AEM better, or is bigger better??

Wait...eh...there...flamesuit on

I don't think it will really affect you at all. Just get a good filter, Apex, K&N, stay away from foam filters...................John

AEM is by far a better intake than your run of the mill pep boys intake. They do endless dyno testing on all their intakes to get the most power for your individual car. Bigger is not always better. Think about it. The smaller diameter increases the velocity of the air, thus rushing it into your engine faster. Of course they design it wide enough to be able to carry as much air as the engine can suck too.
