Default quick mini me question

i have read alot of post and some say you need a d16y8 intake manifold and some say you dont. im just wondering if its optional or do you really need it?

Did you just edit it or something? I swear the first time I read it, it just said "need a d16y8 and some say you dont".

No you dont NEED an y8 manifold, you could always use a z6.

You can use any d-series intake manifold that uses a 2-wire iacv on the back of the manifold. Stock-wise the y8 manifold is the best of the d-family.

I've never heard of anyone saying the z6 intake manifold is better than the y8 manifold. Everyone says the y8 manifold is the type r of the d-series. Maybe motor-wise there could be an arguement.

It will provide more airflow than the y7 manifold does. And you can use the side mounted intakes which look way better than those cheesy y7 intakes.
