I'm aware that most Honda OEM tachs read a few hundred RPM higher than actual to prevent uneducated drivers from overworking their engines. This is the reason why the reading on your OEM tachs are off compare to your aftermarket tachs.

I found an ignition coil fuse in the under dash fuse box and I'm just thinking of plugging my RPM signal wire from my aftermarket tach there since it would be close to the rest of my connections. If I did, would I get the actual RPM reading or the f***ed up reading set by Honda?

Hit this up, I need some definite and sure answers

All the aftermarket tachs i've seen get their signal from the negative side of the coil. Dont think it would be wise to plug into the power side.

lol I see so the wire coming out of the ignition coil fuse is a power side wire? I haven't tested it with my test light nor my DVOM, I guess I'm just going to tap directly behind the gauge cluster. Any other comments? Thanks BTW

Yea, Honda usually fuses the positive side.

if a honda tach is off what makes you think an aftermarket one isn't going to be off too??

they will both be getting their signal from the same source....

It's pretty hard to screw up the signal. The accuracy of the tach interpreting that signal is something else.
