Quick Help needed!!!
I have a jdm b16 recently swapped into an ek. Ran like a champ for 2 months then this happened. Mods are h/i/e Itr manifold, aem v2,mugen headgasket, str tb and Itr header.
I go out to start my car and it starts hissing. Not so much a steady hissing just an on and off hissing and gurgling. Hmmm. thats not right. I look around to see if any hoses are off or anything out of the ordinary. Then I removed valve cover I pull my plugs to find out I have oil in cylinders 2,3 and 4. What does this mean and what must be done to fix this problem? I am assuming that the oil in the plugs has something to do with car idling high and gurgling. Car pulls like usual and getting vtec with no codes.

I'm not 100% sure
I think it could be your spark plug seals in your valve cover.
My sisters husband's were leaking BAD on his d16z6 caused cylinder misfire and he replace them and viola
Then again the only reason why this happen is because someone told him not to run full synthetic oil on a engine that has 145,000 and he did it anyway and this guy told him thats what caused it, but anyways
Give that a check & goodluck

Re: (Jdmbsixteen)
well if your plugs are soaked in oil then the plugs are probably shot and you're not gettin enough spark.......try replacing the spark plug seals (dunno if they sell em separate but usually come in the valvecover gasket set which is about $25-30 for your local autoparts store) and put some new plugs in there and see what happens.
oh ya and foul plugs will make your car idle like ****.

Re: (civicrtype)
K I think that the plug replacement will solved my idle. I don't think that plugs have oil on them would make a squeaking and rattling sound anyone ever had a rattling. It seems like it is coming from the left side of the engine bay.
