Default Quick emergency fuel cut off switch help!!!

Well, I fixed the problem. It was the YELLOW wire with the BLACK STRIPE. Thanks all

Well, I was following this tutorial I found on here and it said cut the yellow wire with the black stripe and it shouldn't start. Well, I cut that wire, and now its showing that I have no gas on my guage but the car still starts and runs!!! OMG, WHAT DID I CUT??? What wire am I supposed to cut. BTW, I'm talking about the fuel pump. Anybody know, please let me know right now...

PLEASE

Its a 1996 civic dx Hatch.

If I remember correctly I cut the yellow wire with the green stripe or it might've been a green wire with a yellow stripe.

*Edit: Ok I just found out it was the yellow wire with the green stripe. I think you should solder the wire you just cut back together and use the wire i used.

well since the pump works and it came out of the pump I'm gunna guess it's the level indicator lead... and seeing as how your guage doesn't work it makes even more sense...

there aren't that many options.

Yellow wire with green stripe. I hope you weren't following my instructions. I'll look over my page and see if I said yellow with black stripe.

EDIT: Nope, never said yellow with black stripe. Who's directions did you use? Try my page if you are having issues.

I got it now. Thanks a lot. I just used another small wire to connect the wrong one that I cut and it seems to work. My gas guage went back to where it was before. Thanks all. I have to find that tutorial that I was using. I know that the one I was using explained how to take the rear seats out and said that taking the dash out was easy and he didn't want to explain how to do it if that helps determine what tutorial I was following. But I tore the printout I was using up so I can't remember exactly which one it was.
