Quick ECU question...
My buddy picked up a 94 CX.
I have a 92-95 DX ECU.
If I plug in my DX ECU will it hurt anything?...or give us the extra 30hp?
I also have a bare Z6 intake manifold sitting around if that would help....no throttle body though.

It won't give you anything. The car will run a bit rich, but it won't hurt anything. You won't get as much as +3bhp out of it though. I don't know where you got 30 from but you'll never get that.
No harm, no HP change, lower MPG (you're running richer), no point.
EDIT:
Dickless above me says don't do it because you'll total out your engine.
I withdraw ALL my statements, go do whatever the hell you want with it. I shouldn't have tried to care.

Is this putting your 2 cents in without reading the thread or thinking again? The fuel and timing maps are completely different between the two motors and he won't go around running rich, the car will detonate like crazy and live a very short life.

Will it? I don't know, I was never dumb enough to try it. Thought it would only make it run rich because of the higher fuel map. Didn't know you'd total your engine...well according to you anyways.
Whatever, I'm a big fan of the right ECU in the right car, that's why Honda made 'em that way, ****, call me crazy but the people who engineered the OEM fuel maps for certain engines just MIGHT have had a reason for 'em.

Then don't give people advice!!! Your not helping anyone by giving out false info on things you know nothing about.
If you want to raise your post count just go to the Appearance forum and post in every thread.

Re: Quick ECU question... (nsxmatt)
It really has absolutely nothing to do with my post count, if an admin reads this he can ******* reset the damn thing and I wouldn't care.
With that said, "my bad" - had no idea he'd total his engine by doing that like u said. I may not be helping anybody by giving out false info (on accident BTW) - but you're definately not helping anything by just bitching about it. I THOUGHT it would just run rich, I didn't know it'd total out his engine (and won't believe it for sure until I see it or hear it from somebody better than you).
So what do u want from me, you want me to edit my post to "it will hurt your engine?"
Fine, edited - now go away.
