quick axle question

Default quick axle question

i replaced my clutch and axles today. this is what happned my boi has a 97 civic and he replaced his axles a couple of months ago he got the autozne lifetime warranty so he said that all d series axles are the same and all i have to do is give him my old ones and i get new ones for free. i put everything together and double check it i noticed the axles were not in all the way i tried to push them in nothing so i say f it probbably like that because the year diffrence. my question is are the d series axles interchangable or are they different my motor d16z6 my boi has d16y8. i already searched

Okay first don't refer to your friend as "my boi"... sounds uber ghey. Second they are compatible. Are you sure that you got manual axles and not auto? Should be no problem using them.
