Default Questions on Suspension

Kinda new on suspension..i was wondering what is the difference between coilovers and springs with shocks. Which ones are better..i jus know that coilovers are adjustable. I was thinking of getting Eibach Sportline springs and some shocks, but someone told me to jus get coilovers. Is the Eibach sportlines good springs? what kind of shocks are good with em? I want a quality set up but i dont want to break my pockets. Also how much do the sportlines go for brand new for a 98 hatch? i dont know if this should be in suspension forum, but i just posted it here because people that have 96-00 hatches might be able to help me. thanks

I used to run Eibach Pro-kit with Koni's and the ride was very comfortable. As far as I know the Sportlines you are talking about allow more drop, but should still offer a streetable ride. For coilovers I ran Ground Control on Koni yellows, and that too was a good ride with a little more stiffness than the springs. Between the 2 set-ups I would reccomend the GC coilovers, but I like a stiffer ride, so with that said you should be able to get an idea of what you want. Either way get the Koni externally adjustable yellow struts, you'll be happy.

i was thinking about ground controls too..im assuming stiff is better handling but less confortable...and softer is less handling but more confortable ride..correct me if i am wrong

i am running gc coilovers and i def. think thats the way to go unless you buy the full coilovers($$$) it all depends if you want ride height adjustability and the desired stiffness. this topic has been covered a million times just do a search
