Questions for the pros....
 

Hey was up peeps, i have the opportunity to buy a 98 civic ex and have a couple of questions. First its a 2 door automatic ex. What can i expect as far as performance. Is it a good platform to put your basic bolt ons? Im pretty sure its the 1.6 sohc v-tec motor right? I just want it for my daily driver and for a little show, not to swap the engine out and convert it to manual tranny, at least not yet. well if you are considering doing an auto-manual conversion down the road, why wouldnt you just get a manual when you get the car? since you are looking for performance, ill bet the same car, ones auto and ones manual, ill bet the manual will run 1 sec. faster in the quarter mile.

You'll have a hard time getting on the freeway... Get a manual from the get go. I wouldn't get an auto in anything less than an Accord V6.
