Questions on EK specs.
Hi guys, I'm looking for some basic specs on a 96-00 Honda civic Hatchback.
1. What is the curb weight on a model with Power steering/windows/locks/sunroof/and cd player with Manual transmission?
2. What are the trim levels with these options and what years came with the options listed above?
3. What are the engine specs of the models that meet the criteria?
4. And if you guys can post some pics of yours with aerodynamic trim peices and paint jobs, I wanna see some different kits and paints, lights and wings etc. suspension.
I'm with the understanding that the hatch is lighter then the coupe and the sedan. And is the lightest car you can get except for the EF and EG hatchbacks, but with those you usually have to sacrifice creature comforts and leg/head room so thats why i'm asking about the EK. Not to mention they are more rusted and worn out so finding a EK in good shape would be a little easier if I get say a 2000. Plus im hoping that the EK would be a good 2-300 pounds lighter then the hatchback made after 2000, but if you guys think it would be better to get a EP or not and i'm planning on K swapping it.

Re: Questions on EK specs.
The CX/DX were the bottom of-the-line models and as such never had a sunroof and power options.
I believe you could get power steering on the DX if it was auto. That's it.
The DX *coupes* are the lightest in the 96-00 generation - lighter than the hatches from the factory.
But this begs the question, why do you want a full power package when you're concerned with 2-300 lbs?

Re: Questions on EK specs.
I just want to know if I can find a EK hatch with power steering, windows, and locks in manual tranmission and how much it weighs. Or if I would have to buy a coupe or sedan to get these options? I find it kinda hard to beleive that I could buy a civic in the year 2000 and have trouble getting power windows/steering/and door locks in a hatch. lol, plus I wonder what options that coupe comes with?

h/b in north america never came with power window's/power locks or a factory moon roof they where only available overseas . you can swap the parts over from a coupe if your handy (except the moon roof skin/headliner differ ).
