Re: (JDM-EJ1)
my vis hood faded and is cracked on the front from rocks.
I called vis and they told me to wet sand it. It looks good now ,but you shouldnt have to mess with it. I would never buy from vis again.

Yeah mine is exactly how you explained it. Was it the full CF Hood? After I dropped my ls motor that **** is hitting my valve cover just above my cam gears. IMO **** VIS.

I've had three cf hoods. The full cf VIS hood hardly looks pretty- weave was not smooth, edges fit decent, but the hood was warped. It was low over one headlight and high above the other. I honestly don't know why everyone jocks VIS hoods.
I currently have a carbonONE hood - no name company. Edges aren't rolled, not as glossy as VIS, but has a more uniform weave pattern and fits better too. It's also noticeable lighter than the VIS. Much happier.

I have a VIS hood since 2002 or so. That hood was great up until i got my swap. It wasnt B series friendly, made a huge gap because of the way the B series hits the skulenton (sp?)
Before my swap it was great.
After my swap it all went downhill. Now i dont really hear anything good about there new designs seem to always go wrong.

(Theres no real reason to make the pic larger, it wastes bandwidth)
I always hear that people need to cut the skeleton to fit a B under it...how much of it needs to be cut out?
