Default questions about puttin D16a6 head on a CX motor

my buddy bought a CX civic for really cheap. it has a blown head gasket and we have an extra A6 head off his CRX to swap on. question is

will the distributor line up ?

will the cam gear and all that be in sync ?

i believe both will be fine but i just wanted to get some extra input if anyone has tried this before.

thanks

Does your A6 head have 4 valves per cyl or 2. My cx head has two and i was considering a mini-me but I needed to change the timing belt, etc so I said forget it. You may be able to get away with it but I'm not sure... ask bauley, he did the writeup on the mini-me.

Doesn't the D15B8 CX engine have 8-valves?

Yup, just checked the Helms.

D15B8
1500 SOHC 8-Valves
Multi-point Fuel Injection
70 HP Engine

Only the D15B7, D15Z1, and D16Z6 have 16-valves.
