Questions about ECU's and programs and also Engines.
Ok I have a 92 Si with a 2000 B18C1 in it. The only mods I have thus far is: Generic intake pipe with K and N filter, D C sports header, Tanabe racing Medallion exhaust, and a 95 GSR ECU (P72) I think. It is late I would have to go outside and look. But I don't feel like it. I would like to know your opinion on what setup to go with for a ECU. Phillip at Intercrew AutoSalon in Richardson suggests Hondata. I haven't gotten a opinion from Tony at JOTECH yet. So I am still waiting from him to get back from Cali so I can pick his brain. I was wanting something with a V-AFC so I could add another cool looking doohickie to the inside of my car. Perhaps a stock computer with a V-AFC, A chipped P28 to Mugen Spec with V-AFC. Hell I don't know let me know what you guys think. I don't have any plans as of yet about my motor but I want it to be fast and reliable.
Also on another note. I am thinking about doing B20 bottom end with GSR head and Intake manifold. And some 11.0-1 pistons. Or a Turbo kit. Don't know anything about turbo's but I would like you guys opinion on what would be more reliable and still make about 220-250 at the wheels. I will also have a 4.40 ITR tranny on this setup.
Just give me some of your opinion's and if you have something similar or just Dyno numbers would even help greatly. Thanks for your opinion's in advance.

I like the Hondata setup. it costs just as much as a vafc and can do more. the only problem is you need to have a hondata dealer do all the work unless you have all the chip burning equip and so on. but it is good to have for if you are trying to pull the hp out of the motor and also if you decide to build a new motor you can tune the motor correctly. I have the unit and am really satisfied with it . make sure your tuner is good, that makes a big difference.

Re: Questions about ECU's and programs and also Engines. (Bseries)
Ok now you guys that have voted for me to keep the GSR. Why and what would you do to it to try to get 200 Whp WITHOUT pistons , rods, port and polish. I want it all to be basic bolt on parts. I repeat I DO NOT want to OPEN UP this motor. If I am gonna keep the B18C1. Now do you still have the same opinion?
