Questions about B18C Type-R JDM swap into 98 civic ex - please help
Hey all im new to this site and have a few stupid questions. I have a 98 Honda civic ex and wanna do an engine swap. I wanna swap out the useless stock engine with the JDM B18C Type-R. Question 1 and again please look past the stupidity of it....the place im buying it from gets all there engines straight from japan....does this mean im gonna have to reverse everything like the steering column to the opposite side of the car or will everything stay as is ???? And question 2....is this swap gonna be a FWD or a RWD??? I know theres a USDM version of this engine but it has lower compression and HP than its japanese counterpart and the JDMs ive looked at have ALOT less miles than the USDM version. Money isnt an issue with this swap but the car has EXTREME sedimental value so just getting a new one isnt even a thought. Any help with this matter before i spend this amount of money would be so greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

Re: B18C Type-R JDM
*Sentimental* Ok now thats out of the way, you will not be using the RHD harness from the JDM motor, just some of the plugs to wire in vtec and what not. Only the harness is RHD the motor can be universal. And all integras are FWD unless someone modified it.

very very easy swap. just get full swap from the place you order it from... hmotorsonline i assume. You will reuse you engine harness and everything else will bolt right in with the right parts. just do your searching and you will be fine.
