Question with tranny!
Hey guys, new to the forums. Did my research but didn't find anything on this question I have for you guys. Please help! I just recently bought a ej1 for 500 bucks and the previous owner said the clutch is slipping. The question is that why does it shift like a cable tranny? Is it slipping that bad to shift like that? Let me know what you guys know or think, thankz!

i would think if the clutch is slipping you should put a clutch in it. and resurface the flywheel, or get a light weight flywheel.

yeah, get a new flywheel or resurface the one in there.
i would go with light weight
its really an easy thing to do (replacing a clutch/flywheel)
i did it no problems with hand tools and no prior experience.
good luck with it man, and be easy on that slipping clutch so you dont strand yourself somewhere
