Question regarding evap and fittings
I have a obd2 b20z with a obd1Ls intake manifold in my 00 Si. I have a couple of questions.
1) In the pic, I circled the evap. The little cylinder like thingy broke off along with the plasting fitting. Am i going to have to replace the sensor or would it still work?
2) If the hose running for the evap is going into the fitting on the purge canister than where does the fitting connected to the TB go? I have an arrow pointing on the angled fitting im talking about.
3) There's another arrow pointing at a small fitting located at the bottom of the intake manifold. Does this get blocked off? If no, where would I lead the hose to?
Help me out dudes

I was thinking of blocking it off after a friend of mine told me to do it, but neither one of us knows where it goes. Any idea?

there are 3 ports on the evap canister...
one goes to the fuel tank...
one goes to the evap purge solenoid (circled in your pic)
one goes to the tb
i guess i've seen different setups
some canisters only have 2 ports...
...obd2 has an extra solenoid...
obd2 doesn't use the tb port...it runs from a port on the manifold to the 2nd solenoid...to the canister...
keep in mind...i'm speaking from a d.series perspective...but they should be all the same in obd generations to the best of my noggin...

Re: Question regarding evap and fittings, check out link (digitalcongo)
On Si canister I have the smaller fitting available only. The other fittings are occupied. So I would guess the evap would connect to the smaller fitting on the canister but what about the fitting on the TB?

the way i remember it is CAP to CAP
the cap of the canister goes to the cap of the purge solenoid
if there are two close to the cap (on the canister)..the other goes to the mani
the other is to the tank (usually center of canister i think)
and i have to apologize...because the si canister looks like a new species to me
if your mani has a port...but the canister only has two...
then either get the canister with 3 or hook the mani to a boost/vac gauge
and dont forget the pcs if your ecu calls for it (which would go between the 3rd canister port & mani)
