Default Question Regarding D16Z6 2 Versions of Engine Mounts

I am well aware that the 94-95 engine mounts are different from mine, which is a 1993 civic ex coupe.

I was curious if anyone knew the major differences between the driver side mount because I am looking to ES engine mounts but not sure if they will work w/ my older Dseries mount.

Has anyone use ES inserts on their 92si or 93 si or 93 ex coupe? Or even tried to use the NRG Engine Damper since I have one laying around and I had no luck.

The 92-95 civics all use the same mounts, don't they?

not really..

The driver side mount has 2 different mount part numbers on the Honda Catalog.

There is 10, 11 and 9

10 is the 94-95 and 11 is the 92-93... so i'm curious if the upper portion (chassis) works cause majority of people who use the es inserts I know have the 94-95. I don't know what 9 is...

One is the standard 92-93 Civic mount, and the other 94-95 Civic Uses the Integra style mount.

I cleaned and filled my stock ones with urethane from a caulk tube. Smooth the surfaces while wet. Took days to cure but they're sweet now. 6 bucks.

I did that and they held up alright for a while. A couple trips to the track with slicks showed a different story and its time for solids.

The ES inserts dont even go to the upper driver mount. It goes to the rear tranny mount, AC mount and front tranny torque mount. Those mounts are all the same.

sweet. time to purchase a set then. I was under the impression they were motor mounts..... not torque mounts that were putting inserts in.

As you can see, there is 9 and 8...

I run 8 on the 92-93.. I can't run a NRG damper
