Question for the p/s gurus
Specs:
99' EX, y8, stock bore, srp 10:5 cr, TT I-Beams, s300
Going to the dyno tomorrow for my tuning session, i kept my power steering, i wanted to know if it would be safe to remove just the p/s belt while at the dyno to pick up a few more numbers. But would there be any side effects of just the belt being removed (besides not having power steering lol)?

I came in here expecting to Photoshop some wheels (PS).
As far as removing the belt, if it's just to gain a few numbers I wouldn't think it's worth it. Because you're just going to put it right back on, and the numbers won't be true. You won't be running those numbers whether it be street/track.
My $.02.

Re: Question for the p/s gurus (yoffer)
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but there wont be any side effects. Unless you think you need ps while on the dyno haha. But I dont think you will pick up anything.

Very true, but it looks good on paper, especially if its a slow d-series.
But in all reality, power steering does have a parasitic drag and i have no doubt in my mind that it will pull some numbers if belt is removed, hell if it pulls good numbers ill just remove the whole thing.
