Default Question on O2 sensors (experts please)

Are all 4 wire odbII o2 sensors the same?? other then the end connector and the wire lenth??

No aftermarket companies make a o2 sensor for a 99-00 Civic EX. I thought i'd get a 4 wire o2 sensor for another car and just tap the plug at the end with my car.

I dont want to buy a expensive o2 sensor and chop it up and not be able to return if it didn't work.

thank you.

I believe they are the same or will work. I used a 4 wire o2 off of a civic dx on my B16 motor. Should be the same since it works fine.

the 96-98 and 99-00 have different connectors for the 02 sensors.

Remember how i told you i had to extend the 02 sensor to fit the greddy manifold. Well on the 96-98 civics the o2 sensor is located in the middle of the manifold and on the 99-00 the o2 sensor is located at the end of the downpipe.
I guess i'm going to get a universal connecter and hack up my old o2 sensor to fit.

I've tried NGK and Boush, they both do not offer a o2 sensor for the 99-00 Civic EX yet.
