QUESTION ON MUD/SPLASH GUARDS

Default QUESTION ON MUD/SPLASH GUARDS

I HAVE A 93 CIVIC WITH EK SIDESKIRTS ON AND I WAS WONDERING IF I HAVE TO USE A EK MUD GUARD? CAN I STILL USE THE EG MUD GUARD? ANYONE WITH AN ANSWER.... PLEASE POST!!!!!!!!!

The EK guards will have the best fitment over the EK side panels.
I would go with those.

Wrong.

You need to buy EG guards. The EK will not even bolt up (different mounting screws locations). Since the front of the side skirt is cut already, the mudguard just slips right over it.

Oh yeah? Ask G-rat on JDMCC... I've seen pictures of it, and it looks very good.
This was on a coupe though, but should be the same on all chassies.

Here you can see the EK mud guards on his car. Now, the EG sides are alot rounder, so the profile of the EG mud guards aren't as good a fit as those, imo.

i personally have the eg guards with my ek skirts and i hate the lil gap btw the guard and skirt. i would much rather have the ek guard like the picture above cuz it closes the gap perfectly. ek guard hunting i go.
