question on LS vtec
i found a ls bottom end for 125, needs to be freshend up, but could i just keep my b16 stock? or are the cams to small for a 1.8? was never sure of this as most people always upgrade cams, Id switch the pistons as well. I'm trying to do the build on the cheap having to not replace as many as possible just untill i get the cash and i figure the .2 displacement will make it feel better then my b16. I want to run the blox oil adapter and have machine shop do the dowel pins or what ever needs to be taped. I wanted to keep it an as i have no turbo
question is will b16 head 2nd gen work well with a b18 block setup for ls-vtec. or would there be a good CR to shoot for to make the cams work better? ( clearence issues)

Re: question on LS vtec
get a Golden Eagle kit. It's cheap and has everything you need.
for a higher CR, use your B16 pistons...it'll put you in the 11 area. ls pistons will put you in 9 area, which is better for boost.
stock b16 cams will be fine...they have nothing to do with clearance.
Seems you haven't built one before. just buy the GE kit, it'll make life much easier. Youshouldn't have to worry about getting the one with the arp bolt kit as you won't be boosting.

Re: question on LS vtec
good deal, i plan on piston shoping and see what i can find, as this will be a DD not looking to make a ls-vtec beast just something with a little more power then my b16 torque wise.
