just cause this has happened too many times, I would suggest changing your location to a general area of NY, I think that a lot of "shopping" for cars occurs here, be safe change location info.
Other than that, ask for people around your area, but be weary...

He is asking about a general area of NY its central NY which consists of anything from utica, to Rochester and Syracuse....
And to answer ur question Im from Auburn, and go to college in Rochester, I frequent Syracuse alot though....
