okay,
im getting a jdm dc header for my eg with a b16a sir2, its got a world sport hooked up on it with a stock cat...
i know that the header has a 2.5 collector and that im going to have to change my cat and buy a 2.5 donut gasket...
my question is is there a way for me to fo around that and just use my old cat and modify it somehow to fit the 2.5 collector? for example to just weld on a 2.5 flange on the cat so itll fit with the jdm collector?
also if i do have to buy a cat, ive heard that carsound cats are good...
does anyone know the part number for it....
what else do i need to do to hook up the header to my setup...

I would get a carsound cat if you do the setup, otherwise there would be no reason to get the JDM header since your running it through a 2 inch cat.

get a carsound cat in 2.5 they are about 80 bucks at testpipe.com then get your flanges and gaskets from jdmhondaparts.com and you should be set

i just installed my dc jdm header last night and im in the same process you are but im building a test pipe

just a warning:the dc sports jdm 4-1 header with 2.5 collector hangs really low so be carefull not to rip it open on the ground or speed bumps

okay how if i go with the 2.5 car sound cat +flanges/donut with the jdm dc headers...
would it be a perfect fit onto my world sport or would i have to do any modifying to it to get it to fit?

edit: would the car sound cat on the end connecting to the exhaust be 2.25 or 2.5? if it's 2.5, any ideas on hooking it up to the exhaust

even if the inner diameter is 2.5 it is still the same size flange outside meaning all the bolt holes are the same and will bolt directly to your catback
