question on ek swap
i have a 96 hx. im gonna put a usdm type r block w/ a first gen b16 head in it. if i were to use my hx harness wut would i have to do to the harness in order for me to make this swap possible and not throw check engine? i am also planning on using the first gen distributor, manifold, throttle body, and injectors. i also heard that if i were to use a jdm gsr tranny, im gonna have to go with a jdm half shaft. is that true? if i were to use an obd2 ls engine harness would that make it any easier?

Re: question on ek swap (lljameskll)
if hx is anything like vx (im not sure) then it has egr. might as well just find a civic ex or si engine harness. ur going to use first gen what parts? civic? i sure hope not. i havent really heard anything about jdm half shafts, i know my buddy swapped a B16B (civic type r) into his hatch and used usdm 2000 teg axles (the ones supplied were busted). ls wiring harness doesnt have vtec, itll make all the connections remotly close but u will have to wire up vtec seperate.

i was gonna use the first gen b16 intake manifold, throttle body, distributor, and injectors. i also heard that it is recomended that i use a gsr or type r fuel pump for the swap is that true?

Re: question on ek swap (97mini-me)
you should be able to use any 94+ teg or 99-00 si axles and halfshaft. to keep the hx harness you will have to wire it up for a 4 wire o2. im doing a b18b in my hx this week, and i plan on running wires from the o2 sensor right to the ecu. by 1st gen, im assumming you are talking about the obd0 heads?..i think you should be able to use the intake manifold and distributor of your choice of obd's. if i were you i might use obd1 and then run a chipped p28 ecu, but that depends on your goals and if u have strict inspections and **** like that

Everyone covered this pretty good. Like the last guy said.... if you want to use obd0 dizzy manifold,tb, and injectors then you have the get the same obd0 ecu/wiring harness.
civic si half shaft and axels.
Also, are you on a budget or no? If you are...you might want to rethink this....
