Isn't it a B20? I'd leave it alone, unless it were free.

I though that it was a b20 with sohc 12vavle motor. I wouldn't put that thing into anything but like a go-cart. It's a piece

Even if it was free, i would use it for a door stop. IT IS CRAP.

Not interchangeble with any other b-series stufff that i know off even though it is a b series

Sorry, it's widely regarded as the bastard stepchild of the B's

I have heard of people putting B16A1 heads on with a little machine work. I haven't actually seen one though and people talk shit...

oh well did a little research. motor is a piece of crap. doesn't respond to mods at all. Got crappy rod/stroke ratio. Had the same cylinder wall lining as a NSX motor but honda used some wrong rings on it so it burned oil like a mug. Some poeple switched to moly rings on it. The rumor is that there was some dude that slapped a vtec head on it and actually got it to start but no one knows if it ran good or not.

Just search everyone says it's crap. It supposably is rated at like 135hp and 130 or 140 torque (wierd honda motor with as much torque as hp, lol) and it puts down like 110 to the wheels. In other words heavy piece of crap.

That's a B20A3

The 3rd gen Si's are all B20A5s and B21A1s DOHC 16 valvers

Leave it in the Prelude chassis. It's no good in a Civic. The torque numbers are ok I guess but you'd be faster with a B18A

see? I am not the only one that's heard of a B21A1 Frankenstein. I still haven't actually seen one
