The modified harness has a plug that will go to your dash harness. If its OBD2 you shoudl be fine.

One item though...OBD2 EX harnesses place the second o2 sensor under the center console. It is not part of the engine harness, it is part of the dash. Stock DX/LX/CX trim models have it as part of the engine harness. If you plan on running OBD2, then you need to work this into your harness if it hasn't been yet.

You never mentioned what year EX engine harness you used. If you used a 96-98 EX harness then you will be fine, the dash harness will plug in. If you used a 99-00 OBD2B then that's where the problem lies. It's not worth all the hassles of rewiring and all that, make sure that the engine harness you have is a 96-98 EX OBD2A to avoid a lot of headaches.

yeah im using a 96-98 obd2a harness for my engine, but the thing is my dash and heater controls dont light up because the harness there now has soooo many open wires and plugs that dont go into anything....so my dash doenst light up at all.......tried 4 diff clusters too......so i KNOW i have to get a new dash harness, because i dont know which one i have now because there are so many open plugs.....im assuming i should get a 96-98 ex dash harness too....but will it leave open plugs again?

what did you do to the ex harness? you should have only needed to repin a few wires on the main clips. there shouldnt have been any changes to the interior harness or any other part of the engine harness. Is it completely butchered or what? you might also check your fuses. Lights not coming on is also different than everything not working.
