Default Question about valve cover studs...

One of mine broke and there is only like one thread holding...Do they sell them at the local autoparts store or do i have to order one?

Honda dealer. $8 a pop if I remember right.

yeah something like that, I had to replace it back in the day. You are lucky it's not a vtec head (then you would have to retap it).

Mine snapped off on the valve cover side before. They had to order the damn thing for me so I just gooped some RTV over the hole so it would quit spitting oil everywhere and drove like that for a week. Then I puled the valve cover off, got an impact wrench and just zipped that ****** right out of there.
I'm guessing you're talking about snapping it off below the nut part?

no sohc vtec heads use bolts not studs and nuts.

So if you break something there you will strip the **** out the hole. Very very common to find that once you open the hood. I'm a pro in helocoiling those lol.

Thats bullshit! I want studs for my valve cover!

Stupid question, but are the studs/bolt combo the same length as the vtec head bolts? That would be awesome if they were.
