Question about tranny mounts for a swap
i'm unsure of which moutn si exactly need to replace... i'm swapping a b18c into my del sol so i would imagen i could retain some mounts. but others liek driver side and tranny mounts have ot be changed right? i ahve the driver side mount. but i was thinking about getting the hasport mounts instead.
to help eliminate (so i've heard) crazy vibration, one has told me to get urethane tranny mounts. i wasnt sure of inserts or actual urethane applications. can anyone point me in the right direction as of which mounts i should geT?

Re: Question about tranny mounts for a swap (phantom_sol)
You can use SOHC tranny mounts on the DOHC tranny. I am about to DOHC and my SOHC mount fits perfectly on the new tranny.

Re: (phantom_sol)
if you don't want vibration, use stock rubber mounts.
i just did the same swap, and put es urethane motor mount inserts in. its nice and tight, but vibrates a bit at idle. i've driven a car with full on urethane mounts, and that shook like a ****.

Re: (phantom_sol)
well, the es kit comes with 3 of the 5 total mounts. They go in the
1. rear T bracket.. which i guess is both a tranny and engine mount
2. driver's side lower mount.. engine mount.
3. passenger side lower mount.. tranny mount.
when i say "motor mount" i just mean any of the 5 mounts in general. I can't imagine that it'd be that great to only use stiffer mounts on either just the engine, or tranny mounts, because they are the same, the difference is that they're on opposite sides of the car. it would be uneven.
