Default Question about swaping an 90'integra motor into 5th gen

Hey guys, I've searched and can't find any information about swapping in a 1990 Acura Integra LS motor into my 5th gen coupe.

I currently have the D16Z6 and would like a good platform for turbo and have it DOHC.
I found a guy with a 1990 Integra GS integra with 260XXX km and he wants $400.00 for the whole swap.
I was wondering since my car has a Hydraulic clutch the 1990 integra most likely has a cable clutch...is that correct?

if so is there any way to get a hydraulic transmission(tranny off of a 94+ integra)?

What about the wiring for this swap and the ECU what would I need to use?
This is going to be my first swap so I'd like all the feedback possible
I searched in Toms thread but couldn't find anything in there about this year of swap

Thanks

Damn....thats alot of miles
I'll pass on that deal...because you have have to spent more$$ money to have it running in your car. After you converted everything to have it bolts in and run it would have cost you around $1500-2000 already.
I would save a bit more for a newer 94-up LS or even better a jdm b16!!

Are you talking about the tranny costing me a lot? because I can find them pretty cheap. I'm doing the swap myself so i'm not paying a shop to do it.

What would I need to convert to have it bolt in?

well....

If the motor is in perfect running condition...meaning no leaks, good tranny/ clutch,...etc.
Then you may spend just a few buck having it running but if it have problems with the motor you will have to spend more money into it.
Go for if you think that's the set up you want it for your turbo application.

You will need shift linkage from 94up integra/99-00 si/delsol vtec and motor mounts from 94-up integra too. You will be better/easier off reusing your old wireharness, ECU from an obd1 ls ecu... and a few monor stuff.

BTW the 94up integra tranny will bolts right in.

dude your in luck I just put a 90 ls motor in my 93 sol si which had a d16z6. get your shopping list ready.
obd1 dizzy
obd1 p74 or p75 ecu
you can use your d16z6 harness, I did
obd1 injectors, your z6 injectors will work until you get some
get a 94-96 ls integra intake maniflold and t/b.
since you have such high miles get a new water pump(gsr is great but remember to get the gsr timing belt too if your going for the up grade)
I'd replace the thermostat as well
get any 94 up integra 5spd shifter linkage.
need a 94 up driver side upper motor mount *someone please verify if he will need the upper driver side engine bracket aswell.***
need the rear engine mount bracket but please make yourself spacers because on the 90-91 integra trannies have 17mm bolt holes in their bracket and the 94+ have 19mm bolt holes and you don't want that slop, it will break the ears off of your tranny and shear bolt especially if you like to barj second.
you can re-use your rear mount if it is in good shape
you will need a hydro to cable conversion kit (199) just for the kit but with all mounts @499. I bought the cheap one because I'm poor
Please replace the clutch if you don't know when it was last changed.
buy 94 del sol dohcvtec upper radiator hose. the stock lower radiator hose should work it did on my 93 sol si.
use 90 integra cv axels
I think thats about it. I probably missed something though but that should get you started

In the US throwing a motor with an older engine than yours, is not legal.
