ok so basically I take my car back last night from almost 3 months or torture that my friend was driving it only to find out that he pretty much trashed it and he apparently was not taking care of it at all and neglecting any form of maint. and driving around with cracked winshield, and cel... so anyways I checked the oil today I knew it needed changing but after I added in 2 qts it put me smack in the middle between the two marks on the stick and I don't have a clue how long he continued to drive it that way, so my concerns are of the main bearings and I know honda's are pretty much bulletproof but you can't run them too low on oil or you risk spinning a bearing. it had around 170k when I loaned it to him and now it has just over 177k. I changed the oil today and going to run a few hundered more then change it out again, I have a magnetic drain plug that had a lot of crud more than what I've ever seen on it but there was no metal shavings in it.

so big lesson learned and I'm moving on with my life which will not include him in it, but anyways thats another story, maybe for gdd... I just pray that I got it back in time before anything real serious happened to it.

well the question was do you think I should be worried about the main bearings from running on 2 qts low on oil, sorry I should have been more specific in the first post.

if the engine is still quiet, i wouldnt worry about it too much
