question about p/s
i was talking to my buddy about removing my p/s and he said that you can get hp from removing it. and i was wanting to know if this is true, if so how much?

you don't get more hp. it just take a little load off the engine so you could use more of the power you already have. kind of like when you use a pulley kit so the engine spins easier

The difference you gain between having your PS or not having it is completely negligible.
You're talking about a 2-5hp difference AT THE FLYWHEEL (making a 0-2whp difference).
Yes it's turning the pump, but the pump's not pumping the fluid unless you're turning...so if you're going straight (like a drag race...the only time the horsepower would matter) it doesn't matter to begin with. Yeah, turning the pulley puts extra strain on the engine, but that's maybe robbing ONE horsepower while it's like that - it's when you're turning that it starts to push more, especially if you have power assist.

I've seen dyno charts showing between 5-7 whp simply from removing the P/S on a B-series.
