Question about O2 sensor when going from obd2->obd1

Default Question about O2 sensor when going from obd2->obd1

96-00 Civics have 2 O2 sensors... When switching to OBD1 only 1 sensor is used... My question is which sensor is used, the top or bottom one?

the primary one is retained (the one in the header)
the secondary is lossed (the one in the cat)
