Question about my d16y8

it's not worth putting on another d16 head on your block, you already have the best engine out the he D16's IMO. Only thing you can do is get a race head from Gude or exospeed.

With a good fuel system and tuned, you can boost 10 psi. But that is pushing it.

Re: (GreenD16)
keep your y8 head and 10-11 is safe with the right tuning
hell, you could blow your engine on 5 psi is you have a shitty tune or don't tune it at all.

I've seen D16s on stock internals run anywhere between 5 and 12 PSI.
Check out this forum if you want to boost.

Re: (MrIllegalX)
y8 already has a very good head. However you could always get your head ported/polished along with a new cam.
As for turbo... You can do 7-8psi w/intercooler daily driven with simple tuning. You can get up to 10-11psi with good tuning. Once you go past 200-210whp, then you need to start upgrading internals. Plenty of people have boosted higher, and even more people have blown their engines trying.
