Question about my 98 civic lx...about the brakes and the suspension
Well i have a 98 civic lx 4 door and when im gassing, sometimes it feels like my brakes are slowly slowing me down...just a tad bit. And when i brake slowly , it squeaks. Is it time to change the brake pads or is there more to it???
Another question I have would be about the suspension. You know how stock civic rims are 15". Lets say I go 17" or maybe even 18". Then I would want to lower the car a bit. If i did lower it, is it bad to just change the oem springs to aftermarket springs and stick with the oem dampers? or is it better if i get the whole kit with the dampers and all of that?

Well to answer your first question, your best bet is to pull your wheels and look at the wear of your brake pads, is one side more worn than the other this could indicate a sticking caliper. When your brakes squeal that dosent necessarily mean that its time to change them, you could simply have brake dust or dirt in there thats causing the squealing. Once again check the wear on your pads to determine this. Also with the wheels off put the car in Neutral and spin the wheels, try to see if the pads are clamped down on the rotor.
