question about ignition switch

I have a 92 eg hatch and my ignition got busted

Im trying to find a replacement... what year cars would fit mine?

I'm in the same boat. I found a parts car, but it's an automatic.

Someone responded to my post saying that it wouldn't work, but I've read several auto/manual swap threads and the ones that use an ECU from a manual don't mention changing the ignition switch. So I'm pretty confused right now.
