what? you changed the wiring on what? your low beams are SUPPOSED to turn off when your high beams come on. what exactly did you change and why?

I changed the headlight plugs the ones with the three prongs because they were rusted and old.i only changed one of the lights. The side that i changed turns of while the other side stays on only when i hit the hi beam switch.so only one side of the hi beams goes on and the other shuts off.

so you replaced the plugs on both sides but only replaced the bulb on one side? alright which side did you replace the bulb on ? just so its a little easier to understand.

so the low beams work on both sides and once you turn on the hi beams the ONE side you replaced the bulb on completly shuts off and the other sides hi beam still works?

sorry your wording kinda confused e but i think im getting it. humor me a little and just elaborate a bit more

check your hi beam fuse. It should be in the under dash fuse box.
