Question About exterior door handles after break in
hey my 92 civic hatch got broken into the other night and i was just wondering on how i would go about getting my door handle fixed. It seems that they pried the lower right hand corner of my door handle a little and got in somehow. Now i can't lock/unlock the door from the outside with my key but i can still do it from the inside. So what i wanted to know is how i would go about getting this fixed, would i need a new door handle and door lock? because i really dont' want to use a seperate key to open my door.

you probably just need a new lock cylinder take your old out of the handle and you will see a set of 4 numbers,, that is the key code, take that information to your dealer and get one lock made, then replace it in your handle.
or just take the cylinder out and bring that and say i need one of these made in my key code, and they will need your vin and registration and they will made another one for you....
or just go the cheap way and get another used door handle... with a different key...

you can also take out the rear hatch key cylinder to get a better look at the key code, but like i said if you take your registration, to the dealership they can look up your key code for free , what evers easier for you...
