Default question about cat. converter

i have a 00' civic ex and in a month or so im doin the edelbrock turbo kit, my question is, is my cat. converter big enought and will it be up the to challange of the turbo. the car runs great now i have 64k miles and have never had a problem with the exhaust. i do know that honda cat. converters are a very good straight threw flow design i just hope it can handle the turbo, plus i was wondering if anybody knew the size of the it cause the down pipe on the turbo is 2-1/2in. and i think the cat. is only 2-1/4.

thanks

Default Re: question about cat. converter (00supercivic)

if ur gonna go turbo u should get a whole new exhaust its gonna make u lose alot of power. 2.5-3" is good enough high flow cat. (go custom its cheaper) but do what u want stock cat is restrictive
