Hey guys,

I think my alternator no longer works as it should..
I'd like to know is it a good idea to replace stock alternator with one that has more amps? let's say 160amps?
what is + and - of doing this?

Back when I was doing a lot of car audio, I was always putting larger alternators in keep from killing batteries with heavy load.

Your English is much better than a lot of people posting on forums.

Last I tried, and this was about 2 yrs ago , the biggest alternator i could find for my Si was 100 amps using the stock size casing. Now thats not to say they dont have alternators now that fit and have a higher output, but they're probably expensive as hell.

I found 160 amp remanufactured alternators for my del sol for 100-120$ It's not expensive at all iif you ask me.. at least for me
