Default question about air/fuel ratio gauges

Can someone please help me out, i'm putting an air/fuel ratio gauge in my 99 honda civic ex. I have a ractive header, apc intake, and some other stuff, where do i hook the wires up to in order to make the sensor work? the car is obd II, and i'm pretty sure i need to hook it up to the primary o2 sensor, but where is that located? on the downpipe?

what do your mods have to do with the 02 sensor? lol

i'm not sure what the wiring is like on the obdII cars, if it was obdI i could help you out more. but go to http://www.hondaswap.com and search for articles on pin outs. Look at the pinouts and there should be one wire that says 02. splice into that wire to get the voltage from the 02 sensor. good luck

The primary O2 sensor (the one you need to tap) is in the header, should be halfway down or near the cat (depending on whether you have a header or stock manifold). There are 3 or four wires coming out of it, unfortunately I don't remember which one you need to tap, just test them with a volt meter. It's also possible to tap that wire by the ecu (probably you're best bet) but I'm to lazy to find the pin in my Helms manual. So go buy your own, if you're going to be working on your own car you should really have it.

I was wondering the same thing.
Those upgrades may get you flamed.

dc2 integra here - What i did is hooked up the wiring to the computer not the sensors - Look up the wire number and color on web - mine was blue D-something.

Do you have vacuum measurment gauge too? Wire it to your ecu, not the sensor.
