question about 94 civic.... can u help?
i have a couple of questions about this car. i have the chance to buy a 94 civic with 113k miles on it. the dude is going to give me a pretty good deal, but i just wanted to ask a couple of questions on here before i went through with it. when i drove the car it still drove really smooth. does the engine still have plenty of life left even though its at 113k? also, i plan on doign some kind of forced induction on this car, probably just a greddy kit since im a newb to the world of turbos. would the engine b able to hold up with this kit,?, or does it have too much wear and tear on it? i know that it was a girls car before, and she doesnt race or anything. seems like its been babied all its life. let me know. i would really appreciate any help you all could give me. thanks a bunch.

With only 113k on the clock, your motor has a lot more life left in it. I have a boosted hatch with over 115k on it, but before you toss a turbo kit on it you should do a leakdown test.

Leakdown and compression tests are slightly different. Both test the "health" of your motor. If the results come back within 10% of one another on each cylinder you are good to boost!

you might want to leanr a little bit more about turbos and such before you go and "throw" on a greddy kit, buy the car if it is a good deal and has good compression et cetera, and shoot a little higher 12's will be hard you would have to start looking at forged internals et cetera and if you do not want to go that route get a hell of a tuner for you and you can run higher psi's but untill then stick around the forum and read read read, oh and use the search function
