question
what cars did the H22 come in exactly? i know it came in a prelude.. but what else? reason im asking is. if i can go to a local salvage yard and pull a H22 out.. strip it down and pay 20$ for just the block.. and it be in good shape.. why not do that?

Pretty sure in the US only 93+ Preludes. I think euro Accords did too.
I doubt a junkyard will sell a block for $20.

well ive already called down there.. just now after i posted . they said any blocks would be 75$ and complete motor would be 235 so.. i think im tear it all apart pistons and what not out of it then buy just the block.. plus i wanna build it up with performance anyway so this would be my b est option..

I'm sorry but you're not really asking a question.
There's nothing wrong with buying a used block from a junkyard. I, personally would send it off to a machine shop and have it bored and sleeved as if the car has/had a lot of miles on it the cylinder walls are probably worn down. It'll also give you more block integrity for your build up.

I wouldn't limit myself to JUST the cars it came in, H22 swaps are common enough that if the junkyard is big enough you might find one or two swapped civics.
