Default question......

i have a 1994 honda civic ex coupe with 206,000 miles on it..great car get really great gas mileage and all but today i was driving aronud listening to music and my car started to jerk, my stereo started flashing on and off like turning on and off....and my car felt like it lost some power...and the check engine light also flashed on and off a few times...it was really weird does anyone know why this happened? or what this is? please let me know if you do

sounds like a main relay, or bad ignition/electical wires...check the CEL code and give us some more info

1. Crank the car

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable while the car runs

Does the car stay running?

Does the car die?

If it dies congradulations- you need a new alternator.
