Default Which quaife do I need?

I have d16y7 but am swapping trannies to a y8 tranny for the shorter gears. I am going to pick up a quaife to install along with my tranny but do I need the one for the y7 or the y8? There is one for 88-99 ex/si and one for 88-99 non ex/si. Thanks in advance for any replies.

ex=y8 tranny... non-ex=y7

understandable... easy install if you use the new bearings and speedo ring gear.... it is not easy to re-use the old ones since the are pressed on they have a tendancy to come apart when pressing them off... so expect to spend another 100 bucks or so
