it is the quad 4 engine that gm has been useing for years. It is just a DOHC four cylinder engine like a b-series, it makes 150 hp and respectable torque, from the 2.4 liter displacement. The sunfire gt, z34 cavalier, malibu, grand am, alero, and all other cars that shared that platform got it. No big deal, its a larger displacement engine that gm has stuck with for years, no real room for hp upgrades, the only way to make one haul is to completely rebuild the ****** to race spec.

any DOHC V-type engine is going to have 4 cams... i.e. any Toyota V6 or V8, Nissan V6's, Honda DOHC V6's (NSX, TL, CL), I think BMW V8's and V12's, etc.

some chevy luminas and cutlass supremes had a 3.4l quad cam in them. Timing belt is a hairy bitch to change until you get used to it.
Any one ever tried to change and alternator on one of these engines.
